Like many modern love stories, theirs began in the most professional of settings – in this case, at BCG.

It wasn’t exactly love at first sight between them: James was Sara’s boss, she found him quite intimidating

(and more than a little annoying).

However, she later confessed in her journal that she “adored James” — referring, of course, to his management style — while James, ever the fair evaluator, considered her performance “above average.”

Despite these challenges, they kept in touch after the project, and occasional contact soon turned into daily texts, culminating in a first date in April 2024. 

Shortly after, James predicted that Sara would be his forever person.

Three hundred days, twelve Dubai dates, fourteen holidays across ten countries, a PADI diving license, and countless beautiful memories later, James made it official — and she said yes.
